Day 49: Way Behind and Catching Up Part 2

This was for Monday, 11-11-13

Song of the Day: Blowin’ In the Wind sung by Peter, Paul, and Mary

Veterans’ Day today. Thank you to all who have served so bravely. My high school puts on a wonderful Veterans’ Day assembly. For the last 76 years we have honored our alumni veterans with a patriotic musical salute and a somber reading of former students who were killed in action. My school district has been in existence for over 150 years, so we have students who were killed in WWI, WW2, Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. Many members of the community and veterans groups come to this beautiful remembrance. I am so very proud of our students past and present.

Parent Teacher Conferences!: I am very behind on the 180 blog due to PTCs. We have a very grueling schedule this week.

Monday: Teach all day, conferences from 4:30 – 8:30

Tuesday: Teach all day, conferences from 5-8

Wednesday: Teach all day

Thursday: Half day, conferences 12:30-5:30

Friday: Half day!!!!!

I’m very proud to be a part of a school and a profession that does not…” turn his head and pretend that he just doesn’t see.”
