Day 30: On a HW Mission

Song of the Day: Landslide sung by Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac

Feeling overwhelmed with all the new things I’m trying to do, like a landslide coming down on top of me.

AP Stats: We are working on linear regression and all of its details. Slope, y-intercept, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, residuals, residual plots,…  We did a couple of foldables, and I assigned two FRQs for homework.

Stats & Data: We are continuing our presentations of infographic projects. The kids are commenting on the presentations via TodaysMeet. Here is a picture:

Algebra 2: Linear programming galore. We are loving checking our answers with Desmos.

I’ve made about 40 parent contacts the last couple of days concerning homework completion. I hope it makes a difference. I am very intentional about the amount and type of homework I assign. I don’t want the kids to have more than 15-20 minutes a night.

After these last couple of days, I’m reminded how hard we work at this profession. Maybe it’s that “I’m getting older too”.

Keep up the good fight, Julie. 40 parent contacts? Wow. You are amazing. See you at the Pilot’s party tomorrow morning. Is Dave baking?
