Day 27: Writing Across the Curriculum

Song of the Day: Cruise sung by Florida Georgia Line

We are enjoying a lovely stretch of fall weather here in Pure Michigan, so this seemed like a great song celebrating the sun and warmth.

AP Statistics: The kids had to read an article from Scientific American discussing the Chocolate v Nobel Laurette per capita. Last Friday our staff reviewed John Collins writing process, and I assigned a “10% Summary” Type 3 writing assignment. We also had a chance to discuss correlation v. causation. I got to tell the nearsighted nightlight story and my adventures trying to beat the speed of light.

Algebra 2: Finished the stacking cup activity. Fun to see get the slope/lip connection.

Great day to “roll the windows down and cruise”. I think these days are coming to an end. I’m not looking forward to the cold and snow.
