Day 9: Whiteboard Graphing

Song of the Day: Monday, Monday sung by the Mamas & Papas

Stats & Data: We are starting to describe distributions in my non-AP stats class. We started the unit by gathering some data on the our eye color and number of siblings. We first had to have a discussion about how we choose to define a sibling. That is, we determined that step and half siblings count, but in-laws do not.

The kids the graphed their data on a whiteboard. I gave them no direction as to the graph. I wanted them to choose their own form. We just got them on the whiteboards before we left. Here is a pic:



I am enjoying my classes very much this year. I was even looking forward to getting back at today. “Monday, Monday so good to me”.
